Age: 18

Parents: Martin and Patricia Melton

GPA: 4.08

Extracurricular activities: Cross country and track, gifted

program, Model United Nations, It's Academic team and drama.

College plans: To attend Virginia Tech and major in physics,

later pursuing a master's degree and probably a Ph.D.

Career plans: Unsure. Perhaps to become a college professor in

physics.

Secret to academic success: Relax! I don't let school take over

my life. I love to have a good time, get the amount of sleep I need

and not worry too much about school.

Worst habit: I am an incredible procrastinator.

Favorite book: ``Sphere'' by Michael Crichton

Favorite TV show: ``Whose Line Is It Anyway?'' on The Comedy

Channel

High school memoir: Friends. High school friends are special

things, and I hope I will be able to stay in touch with every single

one of them.

Advice for junior class I am leaving behind: Don't make school

your life. It is a high priority, but have fun! This is high

school.

People I admire most: I admire anyone with an incredible talent

in any area. I am awestruck by people who have a natural talent for

music, writing or sports.
