Name: Jessica Anne Harding
Age: 17
Parents: Peggy and Michael Harding
GPA: 3.95
Extracurricular activities: Drum major of marching band, French
Club president, National Honor Society and French National Honor
Society.
College plans: To attend James Madison University.
Career plans: Undecided - thinking about advertising and public
relations.
Secret to academic success: Never expect less than your best, but
accept an occasional failure.
Worst habit: Being too much of a perfectionist.
Favorite book: ``Their Eyes Were Watching God'' by Zora Neale
Hurston
Favorite TV show: ``Melrose Place''
High school memoir: Marching band, Ms. Leanne Self (my AP English
teacher) and my closest friends.
Most embarrassing moment: Not making the cheerleading squad in
eighth grade.
Advice for junior class I am leaving behind: Don't slack off
because it's your senior year - accept no less from yourself than
you did last year.
Person I admire most: Ms. Leanne Self, my AP English teacher. I
can always trust her reasoning for asking me to work harder than I
think I can. She's one of the only adults I know who hasn't lost her
childhood excitement.
