Mr. John Norva Hagaman, 82, of Chesapeake, died Monday, June 26, at their home in Danville, Va.
He was born in Watauga County, N.C. He was a retired transportation specialist from Naval Engineering Facilities Command in Norfolk, Va.
Survivors include his wife, Adelaide Carter Hagaman; four daughters, Nancy Wiedmaier of Chesapeake, Jane Hagaman of Norfolk, Judy Perry of Virginia Beach and Gayle Pacina of Chesapeake; four sisters, Anna Klevinski of Winston-Salem, N.C., Lucy Holland of Bowersville, Ga., Sue Harmon of Boone, N.C., and Carolyn Adams of Sugar Grove, N.C.; one brother, Jim Hagaman of Winston-Salem, N.C.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Cove Creek Baptist Church in Sugar Grove, N.C. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Hampton Funeral Service in Boone, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Commonwealth Home Nursing and Hospice or to Virginia Heights Baptist Church.
