Coleman W. Bayles, 83, of the 200 block of Rainbow Lane, a retired civil service employee, died June 26, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mr. Bayles was born in Coats, N.C., and was retired from the Naval Operations Base after 30 years. He was Christian by faith and was the widower of Mary F. Upchurch Bayles, who preceded him in death in 1987.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Amspacher of Chesapeake and Marsha Harriman of Hertford, N.C.; a sister, Thetis McDuffie of Red Springs, N.C.; a grandchild, Ronald ``Andy'' Andrews Jr. of Richmond, Va.; and three stepgrandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn, N.C. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chesapeake Rescue Squad.
