Charlie H. Barnes Jr., 65, of the 2200 block of Tarrallton Drive, a retired CM1, died June 26, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Barnes was born in Guilford County, N.C. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years and was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association.
Survivors include his wife, Emilia G. Barnes; two stepsons, Otto Tomas Urbay Gomez and Roberto Urbay Gomez, both of Cuba; four sisters, Violet Boone, Bonnie McKinney, Anne Hackett and Betty Jean Apple; and four brothers, Howard Barnes, Frank Barnes, Jim Barnes and Richard Barnes, all of North Carolina.
A memorial graveside service will be conducted at noon Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Father William Dale. Arrangements by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church.
