VIRGILIO C. ONA

Virgilio Chavez Ona, 58, of the 5000 block of Heathglen Circle, died June 27, 1995, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.

Mr. Ona was born in Poblaciosa Cuenea Batangas. He was a military pay clerk in civil service, a member of IgLesia Ni Cristo-Church of Christ 1914 and was third head deacon. He retired after 23 years in the Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Bella Salvo Ona; two sons, Edmund Salvo Ona and wife Rose M. Ona, and Louie Salvo Ona, both of Virginia Beach; his mother, Mrs. Faustina Chavez Ona of the Philippines; two sisters, Remedios C. Ona and Iluminada O. Santoyo; two brothers, Ananias C. Ona and Josue C. Ona; and many close friends and relatives. He was predeceased by his father, Gregorio Ona, and a brother, Domingo C. Ona.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by Brother Jeffrey Maloto. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. A prayer service will be at 8:30 p.m. today.
