Elizabeth Clay Llewellyn, 78, of Westminster-Canterbury and formerly of Gladys, died Wednesday, June 28, 1995, in Westminster-Canterbury.
Born May 28, 1917, in Campbell County, she was the daughter of the late James M. and Carrie Hodges Clay. A graduate of James Madison University, she was a retired teacher for Norfolk City Schools with 25 years of service. She was a member of Wesleybury United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Hugh Llewellyn, and a granddaughter, Debbie Llewellyn.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Carole M. Llewellyn of Lynchburg; two grandchildren, Beverly L. George and Jeff H. Llewellyn; one great-grandson, Brandon T. George; and a dear special friend, Marie Taylor of Norfolk.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 1995, in Wesleybury United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Patricia Bain.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Finch & Finch Funeral Home, Flynn Branch in Gladys.
