Wilton H. Daye, 84, of the 100 block of Filbert St., died June 29, 1995.
Mr. Daye was born in Hampton and was the widower of Louise W. Daye. He was retired from the laundry department of Kecoughtan Veterans Hospital after 35 years. He was a member of New Mount Zion AME Church, Norfolk, a Steward for over 30 years at the church, a member of Tidewater Lodge (NU)106, Prince Hall Affiliate, Hum.
Survivors include two daughters, Ava Daye of Norfolk and Patricia Daye Reid of Chesapeake; two sons, Wilton L. Day of Chesapeake and Curly E. Day of Baltimore; a sister, Maggie Daye Bliey of Delaware; a brother, Jesse Daye of Hampton; and grandchildren, Temera Tatem, Ronna Reid, Kenneth Day, Gerome Day, Carlton Day, Tyrone Day, Christopher Day, Doris Day and Dena Day.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 2, in New Mount Zion AME Church by the Rev. James G. Smith. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
