Willie Blizzard, 91, died Thursday, June 29, 1995, in Riverside Regional Convalescent Center, Newport News.
He was a native of Surry County and a member of St. Paul Holiness Church in Surry.
Survivors include his wife, Aretha Wooden Blizzard; three daughters, Gladys Hayes of Oxon Hill, Md., Gloria Young of Virginia Beach and V. Gale Hames of Hampton; two sons, Martin Blizzard of Surry and Melvin Blizzard of Summit, N.J.; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be at noon Tuesday in St. Paul Holiness Church by the Rev. Ernest Green. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday in Poole's Funeral Home. The family will be at 10 Beechland Road, Surry. The body will be placed in church by 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
