Minnie Brooks Parker Spear, 88, a former resident of Portsmouth, died Friday, June 30, 1995, in John Randolph Hospital, Hopewell.
She was the daughter of the late Millard Filmore and Minnie Brooks Parker and the widow of Harry B. Spear Jr. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Harry B. and Patricia W. Spear III of Martinsville; three grandchildren, Patricia Marie Spear Midgette and Rebecca Spear Lambert, both of Chesapeake, Harry B. Spear IV of Mechanicsville; and a great-grandchild, Peyton Lambert of Chesapeake.
A graveside service will be held Monday, July 3, 1995, at 2 p.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery, Portsmouth. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
