James Aaron Richardson of the 800 block of W. 34th St., a restaurant owner, died June 28, 1995, in his residence.
He was born in Springhope, N.C., and was the widower of Lillian Richardson. He was a former member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Gilda Chavis of Norfolk; four sons, James A. Richardson Jr. of Hampton, Calvin Richardson and Glenn Richardson, both of Norfolk, and Shelton Richardson of Georgia; two sisters, Helen Richardson of North Carolina and Florence Albright of New Jersey; two brothers, Lawrence Richardson of New Jersey and Vernell Richardson of North Carolina; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and six sisters-in-law.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the residence.
