JAMES A. RICHARDSON

James Aaron Richardson of the 800 block of W. 34th St., a restaurant owner, died June 28, 1995, in his residence.

He was born in Springhope, N.C., and was the widower of Lillian Richardson. He was a former member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Gilda Chavis of Norfolk; four sons, James A. Richardson Jr. of Hampton, Calvin Richardson and Glenn Richardson, both of Norfolk, and Shelton Richardson of Georgia; two sisters, Helen Richardson of North Carolina and Florence Albright of New Jersey; two brothers, Lawrence Richardson of New Jersey and Vernell Richardson of North Carolina; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and six sisters-in-law.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the residence. The body will be taken to the church at 10:30 a.m. on the day of the service. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Personal photo
