Three Avon residents were arrested this week for obtaining prescription medications by fraud.
Officers with the Dare County Sheriff's Department arrested James Emil Augustson Jr., 39, of Sunfish Court; Alan Keith Scarborough, 34, of Sunfish Court; and Vincent Keith Price, 29, of Northend Road.
Each suspect has been released on bond pending an appearance in Dare County Superior Court.
In addition, an Avon resident was arrested and charged with felony first degree burglary and felony larceny of a motor vehicle, Dare County Sheriff A.L. ``Bert'' Austin said Friday.
Jonathan Malachi Gray, 27, is in custody at the Dare County Detention Center under a secured $50,000 bond.
