SHIRLEY J. MCCOY

Shirley Virginia Jones ``Shirl'' McCoy, of the 5400 block of Sandpiper Lane, died June 29, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Mrs. McCoy was born in Pantego, N.C. She was a nurse at Diamond Springs Medical Center; a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church; State Home-Health Services; national, state, and local Association of Educational Secretaries and (NU)111 Eastern Star-Blooming Light Chapter O.E.S. (P.H.A.)

Survivors include her husband, Linnard McCoy, and a son, Gregory McCoy, both of Norfolk; her mother, Vinona Griffin Jones; sisters, Ethel J. Campbell of Portsmouth and Alma J. Jemison of Hartford, Conn.; grandchildren, Gregory McCoy, Antuane McCoy, Antonio Smith and Juwan Britt; and two stepdaughters, Linda Turrentine and Kartina Lee, both of Durham, N.C. She was predeceased by her father, James Jones.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 1141 Campostella Road, Norfolk, by Dr. Ronnie Joyner. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Arrangements by Pretlow & Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
