Elsie Bailey Smith, 58, of Northside Road, died July 1, 1995, in Albemarle Hospital.
She was the widow of Vernon E. Smith.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Ann Turner of Elizabeth City; three sons, Thomas Lee Smith of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., Jimmie David Smith of Fort Campbell, Ky., and Michael Anthony Smith of Elizabeth City; two brothers, Robert E. Bailey of Chesapeake, Va., and Alton Bailey of Tucson, Ariz.; and six grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Allen Dooley. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and suggests that flowers be omitted and memorial donations be made to a charity of the sender's choice.
