ROSA B. TUCKER

Rosa B. Tucker, 58, of the 300 block of Stratford St., died July 1, 1995, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.

Mrs. Tucker was born in Isle of Wight County, Va., and was the widow of Henry Tucker Jr. She was a member and stewardess of Emanuel A.M.E. Church, Portsmouth. She was Sunday School Treasurer, a member of the Missionary Society, the Christian Board of Education, the Golden Seniors, Y.P.D. Group, Martha Chapter (NU)10, Order of Eastern Star, Queen Esther (NU)494, Order of Tents.

Survivors include son, Dwayne A. Tucker Sr. of Portsmouth; sister, Jean Ballard of Chesapeake; grandchild, Dwayne A. Tucker Jr. of Portsmouth; sister-in-law, Cora T. Rodgers of Portsmouth; niece, Yvonne S. Martin; two nephews, Tony Hardie and Sean Hardie; two brothers-in-law; god-daughter, Erica Orton; and other relatives, in-laws, and friends.

The funeral will be conducted Thursday, July 6, 1995, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. James F. Mason in Emanuel A.M.E. Church, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon Wednesday. The body will be taken to the church at noon Thursday. The family will be at the home of her sister, Jean Ballard, 4525 Leeward Drive, Chesapeake, Va., and will assemble there for the funeral service.
