Robert Lee ``Speedy'' Casper, 63, of the 400 block of Apache Trail in Arrowhead Beach, died July 3, 1995, in his home.
A native of Gates County, he was a member of Bandon Chapel. He was retired from the North Carolina State Highway Department.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Ward Casper; three daughters, Brenda Rae Owens of Edenton, Frankie Lynn Bunch of Raleigh and Lula Mae Leary of Virginia Beach; a son, Edward Lee Casper of Edenton; three stepsons, Stephen Forehand of Edenton, Gregory Forehand of Greensboro and Jeffery Forehand of Florida; a stepdaughter, Tamely Tyson of Elizabeth City; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; a sister, Marie Evans of Gatesville; and a brother, William Edward Casper of Elizabeth City.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Warwick Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. E.L. Earnhardt. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Harrell Funeral Home, Gatesville, and all other times at the residence. by CNB
