Sammy Ramirez, 35, of the 2100 block of Barbara Drive, died July 4, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Ramirez was born in Fresno, Calif., and was a training coordinator with the Navy Exchange. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church; charter member of D.56 Villagers of S.E.V.A. and club director for Northpole Village.
Survivors include his companion, Kiel Snider of Norfolk; mother, Rose Ramirez of Fresno; five sisters, Marie Perez and Evelyn Ramos, both of Selma, Calif., Gloria Ramirez and Debra Gearhart, both of Fresno, Rosemary Ramirez of Fort Worth, Texas; and two brothers, Ricky Ramirez of Fresno and Jessie Ramirez of Selma.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by Father Edward Richardson. Burial will be in Fresno, Calif. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
