A 12-year-old girl who disappeared at Lynnhaven Mall over the weekend returned home Tuesday, apparently of her own free will, police said.
Erin M. Burzynski of the 3300 block of Rainier Court returned about 1:15 p.m. She appeared to be unhurt, police said.
The girl had been seen about 2 p.m. Saturday at the mall and had talked to her mother by telephone about two hours later. She had not been heard from since, despite repeated pages from her mother and friends.
Police had expressed concern about Erin because threats had been made against her. An investigation is continuing, police said.
