William Thomas Austin Jr., 70, of the 700 block of Nottingham Drive, a retired auto salesman, died July 2, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Austin was born in Portsmouth and was retired after 20 years. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Disabled American Veterans, charter member of Chapter 20, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine D. Austin; two daughters, Deborah Crickenberger and husband, Gary L. Crickenberger of Williamsburg, Janice Creech and husband, William J. Creech Jr. of Roanoke; two grandchildren, Trip Creech and Sarah Creech; and cousins, Gladys May Bennett, Eileen Childers and William Johnson.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. today in Emmanuel Lutheran Church by Pastor Terry Clark. The family will greet friends following the memorial service in Price Fellowship Hall. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Virginia Beach Plaza Rescue Squad or Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
