MSG Edward Earl Sheppard, U.S. Army (Ret.), 48, of the 1100 block of Leslie Drive, died Friday, June 30, 1995, in his residence.
He was an Army Green Beret and a Vietnam veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy R. Sheppard; a daughter, Marie Sheppard of Fayetteville; mother, Rose Longburger of Portsmouth; four brothers, Hugh B. Sheppard of Chula Vista, Calif., Jessie Sheppard of Norfolk, Danny Sheppard of Boston and Billy Sheppard of Portsmouth; four sisters, Gail Sheppard of Tennessee, Doris Strong and Linda Victa, both of Norfolk, and Nina Wallace of Pennsylvania.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Main Post Chapel, Fort Bragg. Burial will be in the Post Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
