Roland L. Hatcher, 67, of the 1000 block of Robinson Road, died July 4, 1995, at Sentara Nursing Center in Portsmouth.
Mr. Hatcher was a retired brakeman of 30 years at the Seaboard Coastline Railroad.
Survivors include his three daughters, Cheryl Riser of Houston, Lynette Shorts of Silver Spring, Md., and Vernet D. Long of Norfolk; his son, Marlon T. Hatcher Sr. of Portsmouth; his sisters, Sylvia H. Brown and Lillian Neal, both of Portsmouth; his brother, John G. Hatcher of Portsmouth; his six grandchildren; his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Corprew Funeral Home Chapel, Portsmouth, Va. with Marlon T. Hatcher Sr. presiding. A viewing at the funeral home will begin at noon today. The family will be at the home of his son, Marlon T. Hatcher Sr. 119 Armstrong St. Portsmouth. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Friday.
