CARMEN E. ROUGHTON

Carmen E. Roughton, 70, died July 6, 1995, in a local hospital.

She was a native of Phildelphia, Pa., and was a member of Thalia United Methodist Church. She was retired from Sheller-Globe Inc. She was a member of the National Secretary Association, Thalia Civic League and the Daughters of the Nile.

Survivors include her husband, Henry Clay Roughton; two daughters, Judy C. Miller and Janice C. Capra, both of Virginia Beach; one son, Gerald L. Crews of Springfield, Va.; one stepdaughter, Nancy Jean Martino of Birmingham, Ala.; one brother, George T. Hillier of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. William R. Kyle Jr. Burial will be private at a later date. The family requests that no flowers be sent and that memorial donations be made to the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital in care of Khedive Shrine Temple, 645 Woodlake Drive, Chesapeake, Va. 23320.
