Hallie Mae Dever, 78, of the 500 block of Prentiss Drive, died Friday, July 7, 1995, at her residence.
She was born in Leaksville, N.C., and was the daughter of the late David C. and Lillie Carter. She was the widow of S.J. Dever, and was a member of Oakdale Presbyterian Church, Norfolk.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda Dever Early and Herman Elton Early Sr. of Chesapeake; her son, Melvin Eugene Dever of Norfolk; and two grandchildren, Herman Elton Early Jr. and Gregory Scott Early, both of Chesapeake.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Billy Presley. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
