A grand jury has indicted a 23-year-old Navy man in the alleged abuse of his infant twin daughters, police reported Friday.
Tony M. Paradiso, of the 400 block of Painter St., was charged with two counts of cruelty and injury to children after being arrested at his home Thursday, said police spokesman Larry Hill.
Hill said the infants, now 9 months old, were brought to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters on March 15. A doctor examining the babies said one had suffered a fractured skull and the other had suffered a fractured rib. Both injuries were in the healing stages on that date, the doctor told police.
The infants have been in foster care since March, Hill said.
Paradiso was being held in the Norfolk City Jail Friday.
