John Sheridan Mahon, Sr., 98, of the 5000 block of School Rd., a retired employee of Atlantic Division Naval facilities Engineering Command N.O.B., died July 7, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Mahon was born in New York City. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Norfolk, Virginia.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Kelly Mahon of Virginia Beach; four daughters, Helen M. McGuan and Margaret M. Miller, both of Norfolk, Theresa D. Mahon of Virginia Beach and Evelyn M. Horton of Norfolk; a son, John S. Mahon, Jr. of Chesapeake; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
A Joyful Mass of The Resurrection will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday July 10, 1995, at St. Pius X Catholic Church by Father John J. Dorgan. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Norfolk.
A Christian Wake Service will be held Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
