John T. McNamara Jr. was appointed director of sales marketing with Energy Technologies Inc. in Virginia Beach. McNamara, a certified property manager, previously managed commercial real estate with Drucker & Falk in Newport News.

James B. Lonergan was named chairman of the board of governors of the real property section of the Virginia State Bar. Lonergan is president and chief executive officer with Pender & Coward in Virginia Beach.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS
Katharine M. Sargent was named sales manager with MCI Business Markets in Virginia Beach. She oversees the business market of sales and service to businesses located in the areas from Williamsburg to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Sargent joined MCI in 1989 and most recently was field marketing specialist.
MID-ATLANTIC
Mike P. Ramage, vice president of engineering for Mobil Research and Development Corporation in Fairfax, will be proposed for election as a vice president of Mobil Oil Corp. He will also become president of the Mobil Technology Company, and hold the newly-created position of chief technology officer for Mobil.
On September 1, Mobil Technology Company will become Mobil's new science and technology organization. Ramage will be based in Fairfax and coordinate his activities with Robert O. Swanson, senior vice president of Mobil Corporation.
MORTGAGE
Fred Levine will manage the branch office of Market Street Mortgage and also serve as an assistant vice president. The new residential mortgage banking firm opened a branch at Holland Office Park in Virginia Beach.
Levine joins Market after serving an a mortgage loan originator with Signet Mortgage.
Joining Levine as loan originators at Market Street are the following five individuals from Signt Mortgage: Bob Adams, Margaret Adams, Jo Ann Brooks, Sandra Johnson and Sarah Stedfast.
