Wallace B. Minyard, 64, of Hampton Boulevard, passed away in his home on Saturday morning, July 8, in the loving arms of his beloved wife of 31 years, Mary Alice Minyard and his daughter, Ann.
Mr. Minyard was a native of Norfolk and a graduate of the Military Academy of Atlanta, Ga.
He is also survived by his mother, Grace Cash Minyard; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Honelore Minyard; three children, Charles E. Napier, Doris J. Roberts and Elizabeth Ann Scanlin and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, located at Norview Avenue and Tidewater Drive, on Tuesday, July 11, at 2 p.m. officiated by the Rev. Doyle H. Chauncey. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
