PETER CLARK MANSON JR.

Peter Clark Manson Jr., 50, of Virginia Beach, an attorney with the law firm of Taylor & Walker, P.C., died July 6, 1995, in his home.

Mr. Manson was born in Jacksonville, Fla., and was a resident of Virginia Beach for 21 years. He received a B.A. degree from Washington & Lee University and a J.D. degree from Washington & Lee's Law School. During his career, he practiced law with the firm of Pender & Coward and most recently with Taylor & Walker. Mr. Manson specialized in Civil Litigation. He was a member of the American Bar Association, Virginia Bar Association, Norfolk-Portsmouth Bar Association, Virginia Beach Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar, and the I'Anson-Hoffman American Inns of Court. Mr. Manson was a past President of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys. He served on the Disciplinary Board of the Virginia State Bar and its Commission for the Future of Virginia's Judical System. He was also a Fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation. He was a member of the Princess Anne Country Club and the Exchange Club of Virginia Beach.

Survivors include his wife, Lauren H. Manson; a daughter, Meredith H. Manson; a son, Hunter C. Manson, all of Virginia Beach; his parents, Nancy H. and Peter C. Manson of Charlottesville, Va.; three brothers, R. Hunter Manson of Richmond, Frederick H. Manson of Charlottesville, and H. Boyd Manson of Ojai, Calif.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 1995, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel by the Rev. Graham Hudgins. A private burial will be at Galilee Memorial Columbarium. The family will receive visitors at their home following the memorial service.
