Dorothy Emmins Austin, 91, of Salvo, died Monday, July 10, 1995, in a local nursing center.
Mrs. Austin was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Salvo Assembly of God and Salvo Fire Department Auxiliary. Mrs. Austin was the daughter of the late Richard R. Emmins and Marie W. Borgel Emmins and the wife of the late Richard W. Austin.
Surviving are a son, Richard E. Austin of Salvo and a step-son, Gaskill W. Austin also of Salvo; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 13, 1995, at 2 p.m. in the Manteo Cemetery by the Rev. Berry Taylor. Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo is handling arrangements.
