James Wallace Hill, 85, died July 5, 1995.
A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He retired from Bethlehem Steel Company, Sparrow's Point, Md.
Survivors include daughter, Hazel Hill of Baltimore; two sisters, Ida Hill of New York and Rose Walker of North Carolina; brother, Seth V. Hill of Dendron; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church by the Rev. William O. Greene II. Burial in church cemetery. The body will be in church by 11 a.m. Wednesday. Arrangements by Pretlow and Chapman Funeral Home, Smithfield.
