WILLIAM R. VANSCOTEN

William R. VanScoten, 41, of the 1200 block of Clear Springs Road, Virginia Beach, died July 10, 1995 at Norfolk General Hospital.

Mr. VanScoten was born in Corona, Calif. He was the self-employed founder of B & B Plumbing. He was a member of Beach Fellowship Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Meredith VanScoten of Virginia Beach; a son, Mark W. VanScoten of Virginia Beach; his parents, William P. VanScoten of Norfolk and Ella A. Horne of Virginia Beach; a sister, Diana Singleton of San Diego, Calif.; and a brother, Randy P. VanScoten of LaPorte, Minn.

Visitation will be held at Beach Fellowship Church on General Booth Boulevard on Thursday from 1 until 2 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Beach Fellowship Church. Interment will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. Officiating will be Rev. William Twine and Pastor Vinny Losciale. Donations may be made to the Beach Fellowship Missionary Fund or Onesimus Ministries of Norfolk. Funeral arrangements by the Altmeyer Funeral Home.
