DANIEL JOHNSON SR.

Daniel Johnson, Sr., ``Dan'' or ``Pecan'', 65, of the 5600 block of Banbury Court, a retired cement finisher, died of natural causes July 10, 1995 in Norfolk Health Care.

Mr. Johnson was born in Halifax County, N.C. He was retired from Paschen Contractors for five years and joined Springfield Baptist Church, Littleton, N.C.

Survivors include his wife, Flonnie Johnson of Norfolk; three daughters, F. Ann Scott and Sharon Jenkins, both of Silver Spring, Md., and Jenette Thorpe of Virginia Beach; two sons, Daniel Johnson, Jr. of Virginia Beach and Joseph Johnson of Norfolk; a brother, Kelly Johnson, Sr.; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law; two daughters-in-law; an uncle, Daniel Neville of Philadelphia, Pa.; and four sisters-in-law, Susie Johnson of Norfolk, Flora Johnson of Newport News, Ruth Johnson of Enfield, N.C., and Annie Mae America of Baltimore, Md. He was predeceased by his parents, Gustanna N. Johnson and Richard Johnson; four brothers, William Henry, Ivory, James Lewis and Sonny Johnson; and his grandparents, Jack and Hattie Neville.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Springfield Baptist Church by the Rev. Mac Arthur Rosser. Burial will be in Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Robinson Funeral Home. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends are left behind to mourn. Family will fellowship with friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Baldie Rosser, 1058 Route 2, Littleton, N.C. following the conclusion of the services. E.A.
