ELMA T. SKEETER

Elma T. Skeeter, 73, of the 1600 block of Carolina Road, died July 9, 1995, in Louise Obici Hospital.

She was a native of Southampton County, retired from Planters after 38 years and was a member of Mt. Ararat United Christian Church of Christ, Suffolk, Pastor's Aid and Women's Fellowship. She was the daughter of the late John C. Everett and Etta Copeland Everett.

Survivors include her husband, Nathan Skeeter; three daughters, Audrey Robinson of Clinton, Md., Marilyn Johnson of Portsmouth and Paula Collins of Suffolk; five sisters, Thelma Falcon of East Orange, N.J., Lucille Lewis and Lucy B. Howard, both of Newark, N.J., Doris Miggins of Franklin, Va., and Bernice Haynes of Roswell, N.M.; a brother, Fletcher Everett of Newsome, Va.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; one aunt; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Ararat United Christian Church by the Rev. H.H. Murrill. Burial will be in Lauder Skeeter Cemetery. Arrangements by Crocker Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 12:30 p.m. Friday.
