Joseph Howard Peters, 29, of the 1100 block of Rebel Run Court, died July 9, 1995, in Chesapeake.
Mr. Peters was born in Portsmouth.
Survivors include his wife, Lynette G. Hill Peters of Norfolk; a daughter, Falon Duncan of Virginia Beach; his mother, Helen Oyerly and stepfather, Harold D. Oyerly of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Cindy Jo Sappenfield of Norfolk and Robin McClain of Pensacola, Fla.; two stepsisters Kimberly Ann Oyerly of Nas Head, N.C., and Sherry Lynn Oyerly of Norfolk; and maternal grandparents, Minnie Ellen Smith and Joseph Smith of Norfolk. He was predeceased by a stepbrother, Jerry D. Oyerly.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Lynnhaven United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Paul D. Moore. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel.
