Joan Roberts Barnett, 66, of the 4000 block of Lookout Road, died July 12, 1995, in Lake Taylor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Barnett was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was the widow of Lucian L. Barnett. She was retired as deputy for small business for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. She was a member of Bayside Baptist Church; Order of Eastern Star Bayside (NU)181, where she was a past matron; National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE); and National Contract Management Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Rose Lee Hudgins of Bristol, Tenn.; three sons, George Wesley Barnett of Cinnamonson, N.J., Jack Merrill Barnett of Chesapeake and William Allan Barnett of Virginia Beach; and six grandchildren. Joan is also survived by a long time and loving friend, Luther C. ``Rusty'' Puckett of Windsor, Va.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, by the Rev. Paul Carter. Entombment will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, there will be an Order of Eastern Star ritual.
