JETHRO BUTTS

Jethro Butts, 93, of the 900 block of Mathews Court, died July 11, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

Mr. Butts was retired and was the widower of Flossy B. Butts, who died in December 1966. He was a member and deacon of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by three daughters, Argie Lamb, Olivia Jennings and Mildred Butts; two sons, Clifton Butts and Otis Butts; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Other survivors include three daughters-in-law, Georgia L. Butts, Lillian W. Butts and Willie Mae Butts; and two sons-in-law, Herbert L. Jennings and Clarence E. Lamb.

A funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Curtis Edmonds Sr. in St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Elizabeth City. The family will be at 1393 Wool Ave., Portsmouth. The body will be placed in church at 1 p.m. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
