Marion Prince Goffigon, 70, wife of Kemper Goffigon III and a resident of Farmers Delight near Cape Charles, died Wednesday, July 12, 1995, at N.A.M. Hospital.
Mrs. Goffigon was born in Cheraw, S.C., the daughter of the late Charles Lemuel Prince and Marion Hickson Prince.
Graveside services will be conducted from the Cape Charles Cemetery on Friday, July 14, at 3 p.m. with Dr. Anthony White Dick Jr. officiating. Pallbearers will be Lawrence L. Prince Jr., C. Judson Allen III, Dabney H. Craighill Jr., J. Thomas Savage, F. Cooke Goffigon Jr., William G. Cridlin Jr., James E. Gould and John C.H. Hooff.
Mrs. Goffigon was a member of Holmes Presbyterian Church in Cheriton. She was a member of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
She attended St. Margaret's School in Tappahannock and Hollins College in Roanoke.
Other than her husband, she is survived by two children, Cary Goffigon Cridlin and her husband William Gregory Cridlin of Smithfield, Va., and Kemper Goffigon IV and his wife Elizabeth Savage Goffigon who reside at Edgewood Farm near Cape Charles, Va.; a brother, Lawrence L. Prince of Charlotte, N.C.; and four grandchildren, William Gregory Cridlin III, Marion Gresham Cridlin, Caroline Cooke Goffigon and Staige Davis Goffigon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Holmes Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, Cheriton, Va. 23316 or to the charity of one's choice.
Arrangements are by the Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home in Cape Charles.
