William L. Johnson, of 100 Irving Place, died July 10, 1995, at Bayley Seton Hospital in Staten Island.
Mr. Johnson was a native of Norfolk and worked as a motor vehicle operator with the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Norfolk.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, LaShone Skinner of Staten Island; his two daughters, Jevauni Johnson of Staten Island and Iwanna Johnson of Fort Bragg, N.C.; one son, Reginald Barringer of Norfolk; his mother, Marian J. Carter of Norfolk; and three sisters, Cynthia Bloom of Virginia Beach, Zella Barnett of Norfolk and Carlestina Brown of Virginia Beach; one brother, Ronald Johnson of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren; and two stepsons, Reginald and Eddie Harris of Staten Island.
A funeral service will be conducted by Father Walter Barrett at noon Friday at Basilica of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Norfolk. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. today. The family will assemble at 639 Georgia Ave. at 11 a.m. for the processional. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
