A teenager who was shot in the chest Tuesday night died shortly after midnight at a hospital, police spokesman Larry Hill said Wednesday.
The victim, identified as Marque Coffey, 17, was shot inside a home in the 700 block of Maltby Ave., Hill said. No charges have been filed against a 17-year-old male suspect in police custody, Hill said.
The case has been turned over to the Norfolk commonwealth attorney's office, Hill said. He would not comment further.
