A gray office building and parking lot next to Albemarle Hospital on North Road Street/U.S. Route 17 has been sold for ``about $640,000'' to Pasquotank County for use by the hospital, County Manager Randy Keaton said Wednesday.
Pasquotank County owns the hospital complex.
Known as ``The Professional Center,'' the building was the office-property of three Elizabeth City attorneys - John G. Trimpi, C. Everett Thompson II, and Thomas P. Nash IV. Trimpi and Nash now occupy downtown offices facing the Pasquotank River, and Thompson's offices are in the 200 block of North Road St.
Nash is the son of Dr. Thomas P. Nash III, a retired surgeon who played a formative role in pursuading the county government to construct a new Albemarle Hospital nearly 40 years ago. by CNB
