Lawrence ``Larry'' Otto Romero, 30, died July 7,1995, in Alabama.
Mr. Romero was a native of Norfolk and worked as a carpenter with Cotton Construction in Alabama. He was a former employee of Grady Construction of Norfolk for 12 years. He was a Catholic.
Mr. Romero is survived by his wife, Wanda Rhoades Romero; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Rhoades of Alabama; his parents Jose' and Evelyn Romero of Norfolk; sister, Liz Romero-Kibiloski, and her husband Keith, both of Virginia Beach; brother, Jose' ``Joey'' Romero of Chesapeake; and two nieces, Alyssa and Alanna Kibiloski of Virginia Beach.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. by Father Dwight Schrader in St. John The Apostle Catholic Church, 1968 Sandbridge Road, Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. following the services Saturday, at the home of the sister Liz and Keith Kibiloski, 897 Los Colonis Drive, Virginia Beach. Memorial contributions can be made to the Larry Romero Memorial Fund in c/o E.S. Romero-Kibiloski, 897 Los Colonis Drive, Virginia Beach, Va. 23456. The memorial fund will be held in trust for Larry's stepdaughter, Elizabeth Rhoades. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road chapel, handling arrangements.
