George Arthur Harrell, 74, of the 2700 block of Greenwood Drive, died July 13, 1995.
Mr. Harrell was a native of Bertie County, N.C. He was a retired firefighter for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, where he worked for 30 years. He was a Baptist and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Helen W. Harrell; and son, Tommy J. Harrell of Portsmouth.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
