Two construction workers were hurt Friday morning when scaffolding on which they were working collapsed.
The two men were working at a construction site in the Village of Nags Head subdivision when the accident occurred.
Officials declined to release the names of the injured.
``Apparently the scaffolding collapsed, and they fell about 30 feet onto some building materials,'' said Dare County Emergency Medical Services Director Harry Seymour.
One of the injured workers was taken by helicopter to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. The other was taken to Outer Banks Medical Center.
