Rep. Walter B. Jones Jr., R-N.C., has vowed to fight a Food and Drug Administration move toward stricter control over the sale and distribution of tobacco products.
The FDA submitted proposals for new regulations to the White House.
The regulations include a proposal to regulate nicotine as an addictive drug. Other provisions include adding more warnings to cigarette packages and ads, and banning the sale of cigarettes in vending machines. by CNB
