HERMAN S. WILSON

Herman S. Wilson, 77, of the 100 block of Ivey St., a retired leadman (shipfitter), died July 14, 1995, in his residence.

Mr. Wilson was born in Norfolk County. He retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 41 years and had been retired for 13 years. He was a member of Third Baptist Church and was a U.S. Air Force sergeant and veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Frances S. Wilson; a daughter, Marsha W. Dudley of Norcross, Ga.; a sister, Elsie W. Short of Portsmouth; a brother, Herbert C. Wilson of Chesapeake; two grandchildren, Darriel Dudley Jr. and Terriel Dudley, both of Norcross, Ga.; a son-in-law, Darriel Dudley Sr.; three sisters-in-law, Martha Wilson and Mable Wilson, both of Chesapeake, and Vivian Wilson of Mt. Kisco, N.Y.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday at Third Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Joseph Fleming. Burial will be in Cassell Family Cemetery, Chesapeake. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Serenity Funeral Home. Family and friends will assemble at 115 Ivey St., Portsmouth at 11:15 a.m. for the processional to the church.
