Robert Lawrence Chambers, 46, of Williamsburg, passed away Thursday evening, July 13, 1995, at Williamsburg Community Hospital.
Mr. Chambers was born April 8, 1949, in Cleveland to the late Lawrence B. Chambers and Florence Tyler Chambers Whittle. He had been employed with Colonial Williamsburg as a resident magician for the past 20 years. He attended the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church and was past president of both the Society of American Magicians and the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
Survivors include his mother of Willoughby, Ohio; his wife, DeAnne Albertson Chambers of Williamsburg; two sisters, Margaret E. Mielke of Harrisburg, Pa. and Frances E. Rollason of Isabel, S.D.; a brother, William J. Chambers of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Graveside rites will be officiated on Tuesday, July 18, at 10 a.m. at Williamsburg Memorial Park by Dr. John W. Turner. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church in lieu of flowers. Bucktrout of Williamsburg Funeral Service will be handling arrangements.
