RANDOLPH WINSTEAD

Randolph Winstead, 72, died July 15, 1995, in Hampton.

Mr. Winstead, a native of East Lake, N.C., was born 1923 in Nash County, N.C. He was a member of East Lake Methodist Church and also held the office of secretary of the church. He was the son of the late Van B. and Dovie J. Winstead.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Friend Kesler Winstead of East Lake, N.C.; a daughter, Carolyn R. Spencer of Corapeake, N.C.; two sons, Dennis N. Winstead and Richard E. Winstead, both of Norfolk; two sisters, Ethel M. Joyner of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Edna Evans of Columbia, S.C.; five brothers, James B. Winstead, deceased, Rachel L. Winstead of Florence, S.C., Calvin W. Winstead and John D. Winstead, both of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Grady H. Winstead of Williamston, N.C.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at Carolyn R. Spencer's home in Corapeake.
