Corbett D. McDaniel, 76, of the 1200 block of Edgewood Ave., died July 16, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
He was a native of Charleston, S.C., and was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Chesapeake. He was a retired captain of security with Norshipco and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Charter Member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge (NU)9, member of the Police Assocation of Virginia, and a member of the J. Robert Graham Chapter (NU)26, Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Wallace McDaniel; one daughter, Corbie Mae Snyder of Chesapeake; and two grandchildren, Heather Mae Snyder and Corbett Daly Snyder, both of Chesapeake.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. A.G. Diffenbaugh. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Chesapeake.
