JIMMIE RABY

Jimmie Raby, 45, of the 500 block of Ocean Ave., Brooklyn, N.Y., died July 14, 1995, in Brooklyn.

He was a native of Norfolk and was the organist with Christ Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a former member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Norfolk. After leaving Norfolk, he became a member of Christ Fellowship Baptist Church in Queens, N.Y.

He is survived by his son, Kyle Donovan McCray of Queens, N.Y.; his parents, Mary Lou and Walter Raby Sr.; two sisters, Mattie R. Cousins, and Mannila R. Ameris, both of Norfolk; one half-sister, Shirley Durant of Bronx, N.Y.; one brother, Walter Raby Jr. of Queens, N.Y.; one half-brother, Raymond Durant of Hawaii; one grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Bethlehem Baptist Church, Link and Marshall Avenues, Norfolk, by the Rev. M. Branch. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. The body will be at the church at 11 a.m. The family will assemble at 921 Workwood Road, Norfolk. Hale Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
