ADELE G. SIMON

Adele G. Simon, 83, of the 3200 block of Bruin Drive, died July 16, 1995, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Simon was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived most of her life on Long Island. She retired in 1974 from Century Theaters and moved to Portsmouth, Va. She was a member of St. Therese's Catholic Church, Chesapeake.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, E. Fred Simon; her son, Joseph G. Simon; her daughter and son-in-law, Noel S. and Jesse J. Anderson, all of Chesapeake; a brother, Gerard F. Gordon of North East, Md.; five grandchildren, James J. Anderson in Italy, Lee V. Anderson and Ellen M. Anderson, both of Chesapeake, Patricia A. Simon and Mary E. Simon both of Bethpage, N.Y.

The family will receive friends at Foster Funeral Home, High Street, Portsmouth, Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. Viewing will also be one hour prior to the celebration of the Mass of the Resurrection at 7 p.m. Wednesday in St. Therese's Catholic Church. A reception will follow in the church social hall. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice or to St. Therese's Building Fund.
